A crane lifts the pumpkin as high as it can and then releases it. When it hits the ground, golf balls scatter in all directions! The golf ball that travels the farthest wins the big prize! The next two traveling the furthest win 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
All face mask and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
Regrettably, the Gouverneur & St. Lawrence County Fair Board of Directors has decided to cancel this year’s 2020 Fair which was scheduled for August 4th-9th. Given the uncertainty of the wave of COVID-19, along with what safety metrics will be required by Public Health at the time of our event, we feel this is the best decision for the health and safety of our supporters, volunteers and the North Country.
All events scheduled for this year’s fair will be postponed until 2021. The Lonestar Concert will be rescheduled for the first Tuesday night of the 2021 Fair, Tuesday 8/3/2021. For those that have purchased tickets, your seats are still good for 2021. If you would prefer a refund please contact us.
We are checking on the possibility of still holding the NY Sire Stakes and some limited Youth Exhibits. Watch our webpage and Facebook for any scheduling that may occur.
This has certainly been an unprecedented year so far. Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon. We appreciate everyone’s support and we look forward to seeing all of you at the 2021 Fair!
